A shared vision of five industry veterans
Foundry was born out of the experience and insight of Teemu, Matti, Eelis, Uku and Verneri — and their desire to do things differently.
Each of them has led major development projects, held senior roles in the real estate and construction industry, and seen the industry from the inside: its best practices and its worst pitfalls. Foundry began with a simple question — what kind of company would they themselves want to work with?
Teemu Rämö
Property Developer, Partner
Teemu Rämö has worked in the real estate and construction industry for over 15 years, most recently as Head of Property Development at NCC. He has played key roles in developing and delivering many of the Helsinki region’s most significant commercial properties, and has led large real estate organisations through both growth and change. His strength is command of the whole: the ability to see the needs of the business, fit them to the plot and the location — and build the right teams around him. Teemu’s way of working is analytical, solution-focused and forward-driving. He believes the best projects are born when trust, professional skill and a shared direction meet. At Foundry, he brings strategic expertise, commercial understanding and a clear direction to every project the team takes on.
Matti Partanen
Property Developer, Partner
Matti Partanen is a property development all-rounder with over 15 years of experience across the industry. He has worked at Fira and NCC, among others, and been involved in numerous demanding refurbishment and new-build projects as well as large-scale area development projects. Matti is known for his ability to spot development potential before others can see it. He combines vision, delivery and a user-first approach in a way that makes spaces genuinely functional and enduring. His work is marked by strong interpersonal skills, a solution-focused mindset and a drive to build projects that create value for everyone involved — owners and occupiers alike. At Foundry, Matti brings industry and market insight, a developer’s eye and genuine enthusiasm to every project.
Eelis Rytkönen
ReGeneralist Partner
Eelis Rytkönen is a self-confessed development hippie with 15 years of experience in the real estate and construction sector. A doctor of construction economics who mixed design, engineering and business in his studies, he picked up speed in applied campus research at Aalto University and the University of Melbourne. Since then he has led innovation and sustainability work at Fira, NCC and Ylva, among others, and has conceptualised and helped develop dozens of demanding refurbishment and new-build projects as well as large-scale area development projects. Eelis is known as a figure who challenges the industry’s entrenched habits and turns hard-to-grasp bursts of complexity into memorable wholes. Infectious enthusiasm, rock-solid professional skill, genuine sustainability ambition, honest interpretation of data and an inclusive way of working are the superpowers that stand out in his work. At Foundry, Eelis sniffs out the winds of change, keeps planetary boundaries on the agenda, gets partners committed to sustainability ambitions, and brings good energy and a twinkle in the eye to every project.
Uku Jaatinen

Uku is one of the sharpest practical operators in the Finnish commercial property market — part hands-on sales machine, part builder of demanding leasing processes, part concept developer led by customer insight. Before Foundry, Uku was responsible for leasing at NCC Property Development, developed several well-known commercial properties such as We Land in Ruoholahti, and hosted the industry’s popular Suoraan We Landista podcast with top experts. Uku’s core expertise lies in orchestrating the leasing of large portfolios, commercial concept development, unlocking demand, and turning owners’ objectives into clear, compelling packages. Uku is at his best in situations that call for rapid progress, sales logic and a good atmosphere at the negotiating table. At Foundry, Uku leads the leasing business — building the market’s most agile, data-driven and customer-focused leasing process, and the team responsible for growth.
Verneri Lehtovirta
Project Leader, Partner
Verneri is an experienced project leadership and construction management professional who has been responsible for the renewal of hybrid blocks, hotels and offices, as well as demanding refurbishments of strictly protected buildings. He combines a background in structural engineering, cost and schedule control, and site-level realism in a way that ensures profitable, controlled progress and clarity in decision-making. At Foundry, Verneri leads and develops the Project Leadership business, building a service offering in which technical expertise, design steering and resource-efficient delivery form a smooth, transparent whole.
